Special Inspections

GES’ special inspections program provides valuable quality assurance/quality control benefitting all parties related to the proper installation, fabrication, and placement of specific structural components and others that require certifications, special knowledge, expertise, and attention. Benefits include improved communication between design professionals and contractors, testing companies, and jurisdictional building officials, while providing a safe structure for the public.

From Reno to Las Vegas and all parts in between, we perform observations in accordance with the International Building Code (IBC) as outlined by the International Code Council. IBC guidelines establish minimal requirements for building systems using prescriptive and performance-related provisions. It is founded on broad-based principles that make possible the use of new materials and new building designs.  Where more diligent requirements are needed, our team of professionals make the observations necessary to ensure construction meets those of the owners plans.

GES’ Las Vegas office is accredited through the International Accreditation Service (IAS) whose programs are based on recognized national and international standards and are widely used by governmental entities, commercial businesses, and professional organizations. 

Our inspection staff are quality assurance approved by the Clark County Building Department as required to provide special inspections in Clark County, and are certified to perform inspections in every corner of the state including Reno, Elko and Carson City, using our certified testing laboratories in Las Vegas, Mesquite and Reno.
