One of the many GES advantages is easy access to drilling teams.  Through our sister company, Eagle Drilling Services (Eagle), subsurface investigations can be almost as easy as walking down the hallway and asking for a drill rig.

Eagle offers a variety of drilling services in every corner of Nevada.  Our rigs have been spotted in the highway medians of Washoe County and most recently in a collection of potential mines in central Nevada.

Mining exploration companies are reaching out to Eagle because we have one of the few sonic drill rigs in the state.  Sonic drilling has a few advantages many mining companies are looking for.  Nevada is already known for its gold mines and is  believed to be rich in lithium, yet finding exactly where these precious metals are located takes a little bit of work.  This is where sonic drilling has its great value.

Where auger drilling churns the soils in the bore hole, sonic drilling leaves the core almost entirely intact.  In addition, sonic drilling can use little or no water which can wash away some of the properties our clients may be looking for.  And our sonic rig is track mounted, allowing our team to go onto unimproved terrain.  Roads, even dirt roads, are not needed to get to some of these remote locations.

Together, these advantages are helping mining exploration companies map the soils beneath the surface and help identify where some of the larger deposits might be found.

Don’t think sonic drilling is only for mineral explorations.  Environmental consultants find these same advantages useful as they search for potential pollutants.  And other industries enjoy the quick and precise borings often associated with sonic drilling.

The great Nevada lithium boom is ushering in the era of sonic drilling and with it professionals in other industries are taking advantage.
