Job Title: ICC Special Inspector
Location: Las Vegas
Status: Full-Time/Exempt
Compensation: $35-45/depending on certifications and experience
Certifications: Any combination of ICC Soils, Reinforced Concrete, Wood, Fire, Pre-Stress, and other ICC’s to be considered.
Summary: The Special Inspector is expected to perform all aspects of Special Inspections and observations in conformance with GES’ quality standards and client schedules. The Special Inspector will perform inspections on construction materials such as reinforced concrete, reinforced structural masonry, structural steel and welding, and fireproofing. The Special Inspector will also perform field testing of construction materials as needed. The Special Inspector is expected to coordinate all activities with the Field Supervisor and Project Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinates field assignments with the Field Supervisor
- Performs construction special inspections & observations
- Informs field representatives of inspection results
- Prepares detailed reports summarizing special inspection and observation results to be turned in with timesheet.
- Maintains equipment and company vehicles
- Follows Safety Manual guidelines
- Meets with the Project Manager to discuss the progress of field work
- Coordinates laboratory testing with the Laboratory Supervisor
- Picks up field samples for laboratory testing and discusses scope of laboratory testing with the Project Manager
Education, Knowledge, and Skills Preferred:
- Excellent client relations skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- High School diploma
- Experience in construction materials testing and inspections
